Editing Game Information is Live

Posting to edit, I've got some niche indie games in the backlog that aren't on the site yet properly.

Posting so that I can do this.

I linked my HL2B account to my Steam account so that I could automatically import all the games and there was a discrepancy of 57 games. I'm not sure why the discrepancy was that high because, as I was checking them one by one, several of them were already showing up on HL2B's database, they were just not added to my list of games for some reason. I was manually adding the ones that really didn't exist in HL2B but then someone on Discord told me that other people wouldn't have access to those games. I might just delete the whole thing and start from scratch, to make sure I add the missing games properly this time.

I'm not entirely sure how the Steam import feature works, but it may be that those games don't have SteamID's attached to them, therefore they would be skipped because the site doesn't know what to do with them (linking just to game title would not be a good idea). It would be helpful if you could add the SteamID to those game pages which would help other people in the future.

You can do this by clicking on the box art for a game (or edit details on the page for that game ) and entering the SteamID number into the SteamID field and submitting an edit (it will need to be approved so won't be instantly added)



Also, this isn't really the thread to talk about this since it's really only used so that people can access the edit function without posting in any other thread, you should use Site Help so that people will see it.

I was going to catalogue my time in "SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics", but I couldn't find it on HL2B, so I created the informations and details of the game which went by "/game/136757", but then I found by accident it actually exists as game/21445, but with the "Wrong name", which is why I didn't find it, but the steam page is correct.

I Guess you can delete my addition, since it is redundant and I'll use the one that already exists.

Posting to edit. I can add in games or release dates at the same time I update them in my Release Date Collection.

judging by last replies to this thread, by posting a comment here I will get the option to edit game details(basically suggest corrections).
