As a new user, I was hoping to keep track of the games in my library and use this to work out which games to play next. I've got a spreadsheet of games I own with a bunch of details like when I bought it, how much I paid, metacritic score, etc. Yes, I'm that kind of person and I keep track of this information accurately. I use this spreadsheet for many purposes, and there's currently about 400 games in the list. I'd love to get that list into my "How Long To Beat" list of games, or alternatively find a nice way to extract information from the HowLongToBeat database into my spreasheet (things like average time for Main and Main+) for the games in my list. Is there any nice way to do this? If not, can I request it for future functionality?

Right now, I don't think there's any way to import collections, be it from spreadsheets or other sites. Unfortunately, you'll just have to do it the old fashioned way :(

ForumJoe, I don't know if this could help you out, but if you intend to use the estimated time to beat a game into consideration in determining what game to play, you might want to set up a system that allows you to integrate your list slowly (without feeling like you're wasting a day to put it all in).
For my part, I loaded 4 games on my account, but they're really the games I chose to start with and once I'm done with them, I'll load on more games. Don't know if that helps, but it might help you deal with your backlog dilemmas.

It's 2020 and Everdred has spent 7 years adding many other features to the website.
7 years is more than enough time for anyone to learn Python/JavaScript and write a script that takes their spreadsheet and automates the task for them.

I think it's been nine years...

On paper, Everdred has a standard spreadsheet format that he can output to, and users could copy that. But I don't want to write the code to validate incoming spreadsheets or troubleshoot edge cases unless I'm getting paid to, so no way I'd expect Everdred to unless he just wanted XD
Public API would be a better way of doing it, yeah, which is why that's Everdred's long-term goal, not a spreadsheet importer.

Would really appreciate if this feature to add custom list of games worked. That would help in adding a self maintained list or scraped Steam wishlists.
Or do provide guidance if there is any userscript useful for this purpose.
