Itchmas in July #1 (August 2022)

Mimi's Delivery Dash was very cute.

A pretty good run all around! I think if I tried to order them it would be:

Satan Loves Cake might have come out on top if the start hadn't annoyed me while fighting with the controls

I'm not really a fan of platformers so that ruined a bunch of them for me, but always fun checking out little freebies so overall a win in my book =)

I played Mimi's Delivery Dash a couple months ago and was pretty fun though short. I do wish it took a book out of Crazy Taxi and the time would increase the more deliveries made.

Everything between WonderFlower and Sort the Court! are probably tied for 3rd. Definitive first and second though.

I've played two more of the games, not in order anymore, though xD.

Satan Loves Cake

The charged jump was frustrating me and after dying a couple of times I didn't feel like playing this anymore. I think it was really cute though!

Elden Ring GB

Rating: 6/10
I didn't care to collect all of the runes, but I did beat the first boss. In true Elden Ring fashion, I cheesed the Tree Sentinel (standing right next to the tree he couldn't attack me, but I could still attack him.). Then went on to beat Margit and Godrick. Margit had a rather easy pattern to learn. Godrick was a bit trickier because the game would randomly slow down a lot during the fight and he kept on casting a flame right in front of himself, making it hard to hit him.
Anyway, I enjoyed it, despite having to agree with most here that it wasn't great. I liked talking to the various NPCs. And I definitely appreciate the effort that went into this game. It's a fun little game if you played and liked Elden Ring, I think (but even then, it might not be for everyone).

Cute little exploration game with some fun things to see. It could have done with a bit more guidance. Overall I found it to be more on the boring side.

Fun, but very repetitive. I played a while longer after winning the game because I wanted to see the outcome to one of the things that happened, but then it was rather disappointing.
I went into debt at one point and the game really does everything to get you out (I got the same character appearing and giving me 200 coins with the same event three times in a row).

Two games left to play, which I'll probably get to next week!

ᗢ is a exploration game as a cat. It had some interesting world building with it background but the objective isn't well spelled out and there is too much limited interaction for me in this game. Would like some sort of action button in the game but the game does allow for some useful tools such as further view by climbing trees

A well made platformer with metroidvania elements in the game. It's lovely being short and concise but does relies I bit too much on fetch quests

Review
A rather cutesy demake which captures some of the difficulty of the the elden ring game. It does not fully recreate limgrave but it does a decent job of making the game feel like both a top down and platformer game. I feel the platform sections though are better balanced and allows for more opportunities in the game. Isometric thou does work for it's use in the open world so if this is further I can see it using the platforms for the dungeons. Levelling up in the game either is none existent or should be improved when collecting the runes

Review
Bit cutesy little game but is lacking much in variety. Background constantly repeats itself and the game basically boils down to a repeated fetch quest. Guess the idea is to get the best score out of multiple runs but I was content with the first run. Really good idea but needs more meat really so good concept
