I would also still suggest to implement a thumps up feature for posts.

Probably quite a few users just browse the forum, never or rarely post. A thumps up is less commitment than a post but would still show that the forum is active in spite of not too many daily posts and would allow these users to support ideas on the feedback thread or like posts that they agree with.

Just to clarify: I would suggest only thumps up and/or like, no "negative" responses.

I've been intentionally removing backlog game entries and then re-adding them to my list when I start playing them so the Date Added essentially acts as a Start Date, so yeah, I'd like it.

Quick question - I noticed ATB games (FF7, Chrono Trigger) aren't being counted as turn-based. Any particular reason why is that? And if so, can other people chime in whether they count ATB as real-time or turn-based (or both at once).

The way I see it, genres and flow are more of a way to sell somebody on a game and categorize them, so if somebody sees real-time on Chrono Trigger I don't think they'll necessarily like ATB.

I would note that it's only one aspect of how the game plays. Only the combat is turn based, and even then the ATB system is more about priorities than it is to dictate strict turns given there are multiple ways to affect the cycle.

I would argue it's more of a hybrid system, the whole concept was to make it closer to "real time" than previous systems with stricter turns.

Personally I wouldn't mark them as turn based because I don't think they fall into the true sense of having a game that is only played through turns. If you had to apply it, it would fit the first 3 FF games more than IV-IX.

I found an error. On the homepage under Latest on Xbox Game Pass the game Ashen (2004) is displayed. However, the game added to Game Pass is Ashen (2018) Ashen (2018)

Can you look into why my highlighted collection on the profile shows "See 1 More Games" when there isn't any more?

Looks like a counting bug because 1 of your items is flagged as Expansion/DLC. I'll take a look.

I've been trying to write a review a few times now and the page has crashed (in page, not the browser or tab), being replaced with "Something went wrong! Please try again later". Not sure what's caused that to happen, I'd guess the live preview?

User Image

Not a huge deal, just need to save and edit the review more often, just letting you know in case there's a fixable problem behind it.

I've tried writing and manipulating for like 10 minutes in different ways and haven't been able to trigger it. That message is for a client-side catch all error boundary.

Would there be any additional information you could provide? Special character usage or copy pasting certain items or anything you can think of?

Nothing off the top of my head no, sorry. If it happens again I'll see if I can get more info, at least I'll know it's something on my end causing it.

edit: just thinking about it, each time I was about ~2000 character deep and the page had been open for a while, probably longer than 10 minutes, so it wasn't an immediate thing. Like I said not a huge issue and can be worked around, not like it crashes around that character limit specifically since I can save and continue from there unimpeded, so I'm not sure what the exact trigger was.

I noticed a minor bug with the start date. When leaving the year field empty in start date it seems to default the year to 1 or something, which even if done on a single completion entry brings the average days to beat up to like 33,000 on the user stats page. It's a pretty small issue but I had to dig through my completions and set the year to figure out why my average days stat was so high.

An option to sort completed games by the number of Days Taken could be useful, I think.
