tomorrow i start a new job and there's exactly 4 months left in the year. so i feel like it's a good "fresh start" kind of thing.
FAILing - Goal 1) still at 215. had to cancel my October half marathon trip for money reasons. been doing crossfit but not as consistently as i would have liked.
PASSED Goal 2) finished a feature. not any good. finished a pilot. was getting a little better but then i had to abandon the project (long story). have messed around with a bunch of other smaller writing projects but nothing of substance. quit my job, so that's a relief (especially now that i've found another). but didn't find a job in the writer's room. yet.
on track to PASS Goal 3) 11 books into my goal (of 25). twice as many tv seasons (20+ seasons so far). more than 60 movies. halfway through the scripts.
New Goals:
Goal 1a) Physical - get down below 200 by the end of the year (and stay there). go to crossfit consistently 4 times a week
Goal 2a) Writing - 1 feature. 1 pilot. 1 spec. do NaNoWriMo again. but as long as i'm putting out 80-100 pgs a month i'll be pleased.
Goal 3) same as before: Media Consumption - 25 books. 10 seasons of TV. 60 movies. 60-75 scripts. All previously unseen - this does not include rewatching/ reading.

gaiges, i'm also currently at 215 and hoping to get to 180 (when i left college i was 175). let's keep each other in check!
Goal 1 - Physical) Get my weight back down to 180. Also I bailed on my sister's plan to run a half marathon in January. Would have been my second. Want to run another one in its place by the end of the year. I'd also like to do the LA Marathon Crash (where you get up at 4am and bike the marathon course before the race, but after the streets have been cleared). I've done it before, but it was super fun.
Goal 2 - Writing) By the end of May, I need to have completed at least one more feature and another pilot. I've been sitting in my cush editorial job for 3 years in June. It's time to take a leap of faith and try to get in a writer's room.
Goal 3 - Media Consumption) 25 books. 10 seasons of TV. 60 movies. 60-75 scripts. All previously unseen - this does not include rewatching/ reading.
I'm sure there are others, but these are the most important.

Meanwhile, I will continue my quest to not lose weight. I reached a new low last year which was ten pounds below my original "if I reach this point it's maybe time to start freaking out" point, but I made it partway back.
Yup. Definitely doing great with that one, as I set another new record low this year which is definitely the lowest since high school, maybe even middle school. My life continues to be medically interesting, and I still don't know if/when I'm going to get kicked out of my house, so I'd say I'm actually doing about as well as could be expected all things considered.
