Devil's Third is only game worth playing on WiiU and maybe Breath of the Wild

Are you people serious about Devil's Third? I have literally heard nothing but bad things about it. Like, not even in a "this is niche and it takes a certain palate to appreciate it" kind of way, but a "this game completely sucks" kind of way. I mean, I thought about getting it in case of the former, but it never went on sale and I didn't think I could justify the full price tag.
Anyway, other than what's already been mentioned (which, in the case of "painty Kirby," is Kirby and the Rainbow Curse), here are some recommendations based on what ended up in my collection over the Wii U's lifetime. I will preface by saying you absolutely must buy Bayonetta 2, and Bayonetta for that matter, they're absolutely perfect.

I basically concur with KingM's suggestions. Mario Kart 8 is definitely a Switch purchase with DX. Splatoon is great, but I think 2 more or less replaces it on Switch as well. Kirby's Rainbow Curse is NOT a game you want if you're left handed.
I still need to try Wooly World, but that's one to look into as well.
