Use this thread to get together with others in Animal Crossing: New Leaf! Here's how:
You need to either open your gate at the train station for visitors, or choose to travel to another town. In the case of playing with other HLTB members, you'll want to pick to go to a faraway town, and you'll need to be able to connect to the Internet. From there, you can see who on your 3DS Friend List has their gate open, and you can go and visit!
When you're visiting someone's town, or someone's visiting, you can make each other 'best friends'. You'll know when best friends have their gates open at any time, and you can also send your best friends messages. Pretty neat!
Also, whoever is hosting... MAKE SURE TO SAVE OFTEN!. There are currently some weird issues with the visiting that people will get a numberless error and kicked out of the town. If the host hasn't saved at all during that time, the visitors will lose everything they gathered, and that's not fun! So please, save so that your friends won't lost stuff.
