Parasite Eve remake

From Software buys the Castlevania IP

An actual climbing mechanic in Assassin's Creed games, instead of just a holding a button and watching an animation

More free time

No games can be delisted and all the old games are available through popular platforms (Steam, Nintendo, PS Store...)

New games developed by Valve, firstly Half-Life and Portal

No more exclusives - everything on every platform.

No more online connectivity that renders games unplayable when servers are shut down / removed (if you buy it, you should be able to play it forever on the same hardware).

No more paying for the ability to play online with a console - it's just stupid and PC games manage it fine.

Chibi Robo remake + Sequel

Triple A investors devs start allowing experimenting again and making fun and engaging video games that aren't anything like the standard model used for basically every trip A game now.

I have other stuff but i'm not passionate enough to remember and express it, but I saw someone write that they should stop making console gamers pay for online access and I massively agree with that, that shit's insane and no PC gamer would tolerate that, and neither should console gamers.

- Every game series or game I like that ended on a cliffhanger to get a continuation and then conclusion
- A gaming machine that lets me play any game and upcoming games on every system ever with geniune ease
- Game franchises only ending on trilogies and then devs moving on to another series, and then the series lays dormant forever

I'd say put a stamina system in an AC game with it's climbing, there's whole heap of things of things in that series I wish was overhauled

It's a start, but not enough. I hate how the character is doing crazy parkour moves and I'm just holding forward. The character doing crazy complicated stuff on the screen is supposed to be a result of my input, I'm supposed to feel that I'm doing that (instead of ordering the character to do it and just watching it passively).

It doesn't have to be that slow and cumbersome, but something along the lines of the old Tomb Raider games. I remember calculating jumps and thinking 'that jump is hard...'. When it was the last time you had to put effort to platform on a 3D game that is not a collectathon?

Fair enough, I think a stamina system would at least help instead of parkour being a get out of jail free card for getting away from alerted guards, there's at least something to be worried about, these games aren't really full on platformers like say Uncharted is since parkour in AC is just meant to get the drop on enemies more so than being actual challenges. AC fans love to go on and on about how "naunced" the parkour is with wall ejects and side ejects, how about an AC game that actually makes me use those things rather than it being optional.

I kind of liked Jusant's climbing even if though there is no fail states, it's better than Uncharted at least.

I wish

1. the Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) had a Dynamic Campaign
2. I had the patience to actually properly learn a module in DCS
3. I would be able to stop buying games for 1 year and even after that could only buy games after I played the ones I already own for at least 5 hours each (most unrealistic wish from this list)

-gaming executives actually figure out how to do their jobs so we dont have hundreds of layoffs

1. Abolish crunch time- everyone in the gaming industry gets adequate time to work on what they're doing in good conditions at a fair, living wage.
2. Better consumer protections- your Joy-Cons shouldn't be drifting and you should've been able to buy a PS5 in 2021 without going through a scalper. Would also love to see fairer refund policies from the likes of Sony and Nintendo.
3. Reduction of plastic packaging for physical media. I'm all for physical media and game ownership, but buying a digital code should not come with a case. I'm also of the mind that the Nintendo DS, Switch, and DVD-size cases use an excessive amount of plastic.

Well said! And everybody else's wishes have been good to read too - it's heartening to see that people are concerned about the state of the industry and the way game devs are treated.

Beyond these important things, here's my personal gaming wishes:

- Half-Life 2: Episode 3
- a PC port of Shadow Of The Colossus
- Skywind gets completed and I get to play it before I die
