For a demo, this is one of the best demos ever made. It's everything that makes Half-Life great in a span of 20 minutes. And since this is now part of the new update for Half-Life, this is a must play. It's such a simple but challenging task and the difficulty is perfectly balanced on Medium like it is in the main game. It gives you a best of package without feeling like you wasted your time. The set pieces in this demo are absolutely exciting and playing this reminded me why Half-Life is my favorite game. Everything that makes Half-Life work is here from the astonishing graphics, perfect challenge level, some of the best gunplay out there and tons of immersion and excitement. I absolutely can't find anything bad to say about Uplink in general because it just brought me tons of joy in such a span of time. This might have been a perfect 10 if it wasn't for the fact that you mainly spend most of your time fighting marines instead of Alien Slaves, Headcrabs, Houndeyes and Zombies but overall this is magnificent. If you love Half-Life 1 like I do, you can't go wrong with this.

It's just like an extra short section from the game but has its own self-contained story. It's fine as a demo which I believe was the reason it exists.

Pretty basic short level for the game. Nothing really special. It does have some cool locations not seen in the full game, but other than that no reason to play. Balanced really poorly, I was dying a lot on medium. Also I got stuck a couple times.

Well, I finally got around to playing the original demo for Half-Life 1. In short, it's a great demo that every Half-Life fan should try out, even if they have already completed the main game.
