"May the fourth" gaming special!

I thought we could bring back this thread every year to celebrate Star Wars through games. Are you planing something special for this special day? I'm a big SW fan. I've spent 90% of my reading time on SW novels and comics in the past few years. I think they are as vital as the movies in the big picture. I'm also a big fan of both the Clone Wars and Rebels animated series.

I will probably stream a gaming session of LEGO Star Wars on Facebook later tonight. My GeForce Experience software has been preventing me from streaming these past few days, so hopefully I can fix it tonight.

Edit: Anyone else here has tried to broadcast Live to Facebook with GeForce Experience lately ? I've tried everything and it doesn't work. I've broadcasted like 90% of my Assassin's Creed playthrough and other games. But now when I start the broadcast, GeForce Experience seems to be running fine and confirms that the broadcast has started but nothing happens in Facebook. I've reinstalled all the drivers from scratch and all... I'm confused now... No LEGO Star Wars broadcasting tonight... :'(

I would just like to take this moment and state that bounty hunters are cooler than jedi, thus being able to play as a bounty hunter in The Old Republic when that game launched was great joy, even though my computer couldn't handle that game at the time. Also the game itself had terrible end game. Also that game is basically dead now, but that seems to be a common trend now with Bioware, so RIP

I have a whole slew of Star Wars game in the "near" future. I'm not that much into Star Wars myself, but I think I'll definitely try to work it so I start them next May 4th, seems only right. So nothing this year but next year...everything probably :P

I've been playing Episode 1: Racer, and It's even better than I expected. I've beaten half the tracks so far and enjoying myselft a lot.

That game is surprisingly great, and in my opinion the best thing to come out of the prequel trilogy!

One of these years I should get around to playing that one GameCube Star Wars game that isn't Lego Star Wars... ...Rogue Leader? Maybe? 2019 will not be that year... But maybe in honor of the release of Episode XVII in a few decades.

Is anyone here planning to play something Star Wars related soon? I've owned Dark Forces pretty much since it came out but never actually got to it seriously. I might actually try to do a complete playthrough. I'm seriously considering it. We'll see how well I can run it and if I can bind controls to my DS3 controller. I played OG Doom that way and loved it.

I will have a look. Pretty much all the Star Wars games are 75% off at GOG as well.

That'd be either Republic Commando or Jedi Academy, one is a good squad shooter I'm going to replay soon and the other has both, third-person lightsaber action AND first-person shooting, it's a tough choice... but Republic Commando may get my vote in the end ;)

I've also had a lot of fun with X-wing vs. Tie Fighter. That's an amazing game in multiplayer.

For me, I'd say that the SW games I've spent the most time with would be the SNES Trilogy and also X-Wing and TIE Fighter. I still remember when TIE Fighter came out and probably hundreds of hours spent on it. I did play quite a lot of Rebel Assault as well, it was revolutionary at the time but I didn't get hooked up as much.

Haven't played many Star Wars games. Out of the ones that I have played, Empire At War is by far my favourite. I'd happily play that game with someone else to celebrate today.

...but I've been put off of Star Wars ever since Episode 8, 9 and the 2 garbage EA Battlefront games so I might not celebrate at all. I've heard good things about Jedi: Fallen Order though. Is it any good?

Rebel Assault was quite impressive, for a technical level, but it very quickly got a reputation for being a game that chased trends, and put gameplay as a distant second, and a few years later, it was pretty much treated like a joke. And these days, it's downright painful to play.

I almost bought the Star Wars Collection of the Humble store, but then I found out that Dark Forces which is part of that collection, is apparently banned in Germany.
This sucks so much.
There should also be some kind of warning that not all games in the collection are available in all regions.

I played a lot of Star Wars games when I was younger, but my favorites were definitely the original Battlefronts. I also really enjoyed the Episode 3 game, Force Unleashed, and the LEGO games. I did enjoy Fallen Order too, although not as much as the ones I previously stated. That said I did platinum it, which is something I don’t try and do often.

I ended up playing 'Dark Forces' tonight and completed the first three missions. It's okay so far. Some of the maps are a bit confusing, but it's not too bad I guess. I'm enjoying the overall story and missions. I even made it an event on my Facebook page and played 90 minutes live. Does not look like my friends were very interested tho... lol...

I decided to purchase Knights of the Old Republic from Humble. I tried to play it years ago, but for some reason I had severe graphic glitches that made the game unplayable.

I always wanted to experience BioWare at their best and now that they have officially fallen from grace we won't get anything like this ever again.

I'll say KoTOR 2 is the best story and lore wise and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is my favorite gameplay wise are my favorites.
I can spend horus just doing the companion conversations in KOTOR 2 and the lightsaber combat in Jedi Academy is the best the franchise has ever gotten (and you have first person shooting as an option too!)

I think, since I have GamePass, today would be a great day for me to try out Squadrons. Going to watch a couple Youtube vids here at work on it then after I get home give it a shot.
