Thoroughly enjoyed the game, it did not overstay its welcome either considering it's the lego movie... but in a video game. Can definitely recommend it if you're looking for a quicker but still solid 100%

Next game from LEGO series, but there is something new:
- mini-games inside levels – completely new and various types
- the game is well optimized (in comparison to super heroes)
- there are a lot of movie cinematic – so actually if you watched it before, you are going to watch it a second time

- The game doesn't allow to change resolution after start first level – it's not possible from the start menu. Many players ask about it which is not good for first experience.
- It doesn't save vertical_sync setting too – I needed to change it every time.
- Bugged soundtrack once.
- I had at least 1 crash, which is the classic thing for Lego games.
- When mastering levels, you need to search each level location if you don't remember it. I didn't like it.

Potom, co jsem v LEGO THE STAR WARS COMPLETE SAGA, utopil nespočet hodin, jsem se rozhodnul začít i tuhle novou etapu LEGO her, kde už a to zcela, vymizela mimika a začalo se mluvit.

This game is functional, plays like the other Lego games and (I assume) follows the movie well.

But its easily the worst Lego game I've played. The loading times (PS3) is atrocious, the story is cute but often got a bit annoying, Cloud Cuckoo Land was obnoxious and the color scheme made my eyes bleed a little. Minigames were fun the first time or so, but subsequent times werent fun. There are several unpatched game bugs to watch out for as well.

On the good side, the game is mercifully short- fewer collectables per level. The hub worlds werent giant monstrosities like many other more recent Lego games have. Even at 1/3 the time to 100%, it still overstays its welcome by several hours.

The Lego Movie Videogame is a solid Lego game, not the best but not the worst. It follows the story of the movie, fleshing it out with more dialogue and obviously plenty of gameplay. There's a lot of variety of locales and characters, as well as some strong set pieces, and it's wacky fun. It's much like other Lego games, so I don't have much to say about the structure, but I do always admire the lengths they go to in order to make everything highly detailed and completely (or near completely) made out of proper Lego parts. It's a really strong aesthetic and it's always enjoyable.

There are about a hundred characters in this game, with some pretty crazy variety, from main characters to townspeople to superheroes to characters like Witch, Caveman, Abraham Lincoln, and the Statue of Liberty. I feel like a lot of the townspeople and variations on Emmett in particular are kind of filler content, which is a shame, but there's some solid variety otherwise. Gameplay is fun like all the Lego games, and there are a decent variety of abilities to use with various characters. Exploring levels in Free Play with whatever characters you want, finding secrets, and getting all the collectibles is a good time as well, although I did run into a handful of glitches, which was annoying. I also was annoyed by the lack of a "restart from last checkpoint" option, as I would have to restart the level entirely if I somehow missed a collectible during Free Play.

The most remarkable things about this Lego game are that it's based on the Lego Movie, and that there's quite a smorgasbord of characters and locations (rather than having a strong theme like superheroes or Star Wars). It evokes the feeling of being a kid playing with random Legos to some degree, and I think that's cool. I did have a lot of small annoyances and a few bugs though, and I think I prefer the themed Lego games, ultimately, as they provide a stronger and more cohesive experience. Still, I had a lot of fun, and I think this game is certainly worth playing if you like Lego games, or if you enjoyed the Lego Movie.

LEGO Games are mostly pretty chill and The LEGO Movie Video Game still captures the simplicity and laid back nature of LEGO Games. Being based off The Lego Movie, it's humor gives it an advantage this time as the writers of the game expanded on a lot of the jokes from the movie. As the movie is one of my favorites of all time, the game does the material justice as a game. The music is sometimes excellent (Cloud Cuckoo Land) there are always people with advantages for every level story or free play, the graphics are decent, the voice acting is probably the best part about the game as it expands characters dialogue throughout. There are just some awesome moments in the game and it was pretty relaxing. The only thing I didn't really like was the dance number sections as they are mundane and overly easy and I soft locked during the second to last level. Other than a few things like that and the fact they cut out crucial parts from cutscenes that were in the movie (SPOILERS: Vitruvius tells Emmett he made up The Special Chosen One archetype before he dies. This was cut out from the game) most of the game was pretty good. I really enjoyed playing all the characters and liked all their abilities. This was the first LEGO Game I completed in a long time and I'm hoping to complete more later on.

If you like The LEGO Games, than you'll probably like this one a lot as well. It follows the same if it ain't broke don't fix it type of gameplay the games are known for and it has loads to complete after the game like any other LEGO Game. So if you want to go for 100% there is still lots of characters and things to unlock. A really good LEGO Game. I recommend it for fans of the LEGO Themed Genre.

It's a Lego game, you likely already know what to expect. I enjoy them and so does my non-gamer wife. As with all Lego games I also experienced a couple of crashes and a few progress stopping bugs.

+ Local co-op
+ Simple but fun gameplay and controls

- Not many changes over the well established Lego format
- Encountered a few crashes and progress stopping bugs (bugs went away with restart)
- Still has that dreaded building mini-game

The LEGO Movie Videogame extends a concise and hilarious film into a much longer and less consistent interactive experience that sometimes dips into boring territory. Amusing scenarios and eye-catching environments are a plus, as is the wide unlockable hero roster, but most of the missions feel like an unimaginative retread of the same LEGO game formula. It's solidly enjoyable – but nowhere near awesome.
