This game is plagued with bugs. The most frustrating ones include having to jump over steps or literally anything with a bump. How is it that you can walk over some but not all??? Not to mention black screens and random ass freezes. Fuck this game, I wouldn't play this game again even if I was offered money. If not for my OCD to complete games that I've bought/started I would've quit this game 10% in. Not only because of the bugs, but holy fuck this game is boring. Everything that made the initial game interesting was removed in the second, story wise. What a complete waste of potential in characters and motive. The Illuminati that was foreshadowed in 1 was fucking useless. Megan, ya she was used for 1 second in the sequel, what was the point in the end credit scene in the first? Dogshit plot, dogshit side missions, dogshit side characters.Updated 2 Weeks Ago

Basically, my review of Deus Ex: Human Revolution can be copied and pasted here. The game remains as excellent as it was before; the only thing I didn't quite like is the length of the main storyline. It’s clear that the developers intended to create a third part with Adam Jensen, but most likely we won't see it.Updated 3 Weeks Ago

If the game had a second half, it would probably be a 10/10.Everything from the game world, to the mechanics, to the story, to the graphics and art design. Everything is perfect. The DX prequels have a weird relationship with DX1, bc there's an artistic and world-building shift between them. You have trouble imagining that the world of the Jensen games will lead into the world of JC Denton. The city environments feel sleek, grand, and futuristic in Jensen's time, which is a far cry from the relatively humble and crumbling world of 2052. Even relatively-thriving places like Hong Kong don't demonstrate the futuristic tech that Mankind Divided has.
But despite these issues, you can really see MD try to bridge the gap between Human Revolution and Deus Ex. There's a huge level of talent, effort, and artistry being put into this game and I would've loved to see what Eidos Montreal could've done with the series. Unfortunately, however, that didn't happen. The story ends abruptly to tease a future installment that never came, in part because of Square-Enix's unrealistic sales expectations and as a result of a fumbled marketing campaign filled with the dystopian capitalist practices that the games tried to criticize.
We probably won't see how Adam Jensen's story ends, or how the world of 2029 becomes the declining world of 2052. But if you look at Invisible War, it's not like realistic tech evolution was ever really handled well by the series. And I'm glad we had this one.

- graphic glitch+ game got a bit interesting when discovered the purcor system
- transition from AAA game to this one was tough
+ once you get hold of what the actual game is about, it becomes tolerable.
- too slow for my taste
+ side missions are meaningful

+ Best gameplay of the series+ Great OST
+ Tons of experimentation with the gameplay, and the augments are even better than HR's.
+ Many different ways to approach the situations, more than DX:HR offered
+ Very fun to play
+ Visually impressive and has aged well
- Only really 1 'boss' in the game, and when it feels like the game is hitting the climax point, that's it.
Great sequel, but leaves you wanting more in the story department. I assume this was due to Square having god awful management as this was around the time of FF7R, KH3, and this. You can tell the devs were told to pause the story where it stops, but ended it enough to feel like an 'ending'. 8.5/10

Great game, honestly want a new one but we will never see, so stick to re running this game :) worth if if you like cyberpunk kinda games, choices kinda matter. Setting and world building is really good, i love getting immersed in the deus ex universe, and just walk around the city and observe. If you've not played human revolution, its fine to just go straight to this game. You'll not know a few characters (literally just 3 returning characters), of which 2 are only side content. the other being the player character adam jensen. Usually the entire game with 2 dlc's is on sale for about 8 euros, pick it up its worth it :)Updated 10 Months Ago

Passable. But not even close as good as Human Revolution. There was no single vision for this game, so it's a mix of many meh elements: story mode + breach mode + overdrive augs mechanics.Pros:
+ The Prague hub level is well-designed and interesting to explore
+ Side missions are great. Interesting to explore and complete.
+ NPCs speak real Czech and Russian language and it's great.
Cons:
- Main missions are boring and disconnected. I didn't care for any of the NPCs there because they appear for 5 min and then disappear. The weakest part of the game. It gets especially convoluted with Miller and Vega power struggle.
- The music doesn't create cyberpunk atmosphere these time around. So all the atmosphere is gone :(
- Jensen wears glasses all the time. It makes him harder to relate to.
- The Prague setting doesn't work well for the missions. Why everyone is helping Jensen and asking him to be a detective? It made sense in his native Detroit. But here police is brutal. Still everyone cooperates. Weird.
- Also, the default control scheme ****. I was in pain until I tried Breach one. After that gaming became a pleasure.

Osobně jsem schopný přehlídnout ten nedodělaný příběh, který navazuje až v DLC a posléze má být další hra? No, uteklo pár let a stále nic. Updated 1 Year Ago

Really enjoyed it. I loved the side missions a lot. I enjoyed the augments, the locations like Prague, the racial tension aspect of the story, the concept of working for Interpol, the freedom in the exploration, etc. I didn't like the main story nearly as much as Human Revolution and I missed the grittier Cyberpunk feel of HR but it was still quite well done. I'm not really sure if I enjoyed it more than Human Revolution but I definitely enjoyed it a lot stillUpdated 1.5 Years Ago

It's a fantastic game. One you get levelled up a bit and get some of the cool augs the game really comes into life. Prague is interesting to explore with lots of intresting side quests. Although, the train system is rather annoying I must say, travelling back and forth on some side missions seems silly at times. The story is very good, carries on well from Human Revolution. It falls slightly short compared to that game, but is still a worthy sequel. I really hope they make another Deus Ex game soon. Adam Jensen's story is not over yet.Updated 2 Years Ago

For every improvement it makes to Human Revolution, it takes a step back in some other aspect. It is an extremely pretty game, with an interesting world, but kind of a slow burner of a story, with two much recycling of content and too little dynamism. The biggest offense however is that the game simply isn't engaging enough to play through as a singular project; I needed to take a break to play other games before I could finish itUpdated 2 Years Ago

Updated 2.5 Years Ago

A very good game in my opinion with some small flaws, but other than that I loved this game. The story started off very compelling and looked to be a good run full of plot twists, but for the most part I felt it was pretty easy to read. What really made this game, was the side missions and immersion in the world. Small characters having large amounts of individual dialogue and being very well fleshed out made the towns feel really alive. The dialogue options throughout the story and even small stuff felt very meaningful, creating impactful hard choices throughout. My only other real complaint was constantly having to enter the menu and such to adjust your equipment and ammo types, it could have been streamlined a little bit better honestly, but that was a small gripe. Other than that, everything else was pretty good, graphics, soundtrack, story, and gameplay itself.Updated 2.5 Years Ago

Whilst the story, core gameplay mechanics and visuals seem like a winner, the problem for me was the stealth segments that I suck at. The amount of time spend retrying a single mission, being sent back minutes and loosing progress to the games rather unfair system made me disappointed with itUpdated 2.5 Years Ago
