Fun for co-op but otherwise has terrible jank and level + enemy design for about 2/3rds of the game. The third episode was much better in that it had actual levels and a flow whereas the first two felt like map packs with enemies littered around. The final boss fight was pretty good and the world-building was fun to look at with all the jokes and easter eggs hidden about the world. If not for the satisfaction of headshots and combo explosions, this would've been a complete dud. But all in all, good fun simply because of the multiplayer company.

Instead of playing this game, I would recommend to play Left 4 Dead 2 that is cheaper, but you can try this game that is ok. The game is a 6/10.

Glad we get all 3 together, I felt pretty hungry after each one. You can adjust the settings to spawn heavier if you're snoring, and L4D is a nice touch. More infinite spawns and/or more coming from both directions would have increased the pressure, fights were too scripted. Otherwise good checkpoints. This is my rifle!

Never really been into zombie games but because this was a sniper elite game also i wanted to play something different.Alot of enemies on screen at once very stress filled game and the sound of zombie i had to turn the volume down it was creepin' me out.I never get sick of nazi head shots. The 3rd entry in the trilogy was hardest and hitler zombie fight at the end was a pain especially when that elite soldier pops out the door where the 3rd skeleton is.Fun but streessful 8.5

This game is a prime example of the old advertising slogan, "It does exactly what it says on the tin." Don't go into this game expecting a riveting story or polished visuals. What you can expect, however, is a long, gory, tense, and action packed adventure that is best experienced with a friend. Pick it up on a sale.

Go into area. Headshot zombies. Leave area. Enter new area. Rinse and repeat.

It was an extremely repetitive experience, and there wasn't enough variety in the locations or missions to make any of the multiple segments in the game memorable or fun. The most fun I had in the game was setting up traps and luring the hordes of zombies away from my friend so he could have a better shot at them. If a game which revolves around headshotting countless hordes of zombies sounds fun to you, pick this one up. It's far from a game for me though. Also, play this game co-op, every single aspect of this game was designed around playing it with at least one other person.

Zombie Army Trilogy might be a really good example of something that ends up being less than the sum of its parts. While your mileage may vary if you have not played Nazi Zombie Army 1 and 2 or Sniper Elite V2 then this will all be new content, but had you played these titles like I, then you'll be staring at a lot of repeated content for the majority of the game.

This is too be expected of course, Trilogy was indeed released to encapsulate the entire series into a single title after all, but one would think that the desire to do so and set aside the individual "episodic" release structure as with 1 and 2 would mean that any advancements or additions so intriguing in the 3rd instalment would mean a retroactive upgrade and improvement to all the titles contained. Sadly this is just not the case, and with only a few changes here and there regarding things like lighting, music, controls, NZA 1 and 2 are mostly as they were.

In itself that isn't a huge deal. Individually they were mediocre yet enjoyable experiences. They unfortunately lean on a lot of reused assets from Sniper Elite V2 and egregiously reuse that content, and it's something that stands out all the more when the game is structured more completely like this.

It means that 2/3rds of the game is spent dealing with very samey content in very samey looking locations and leaving a lot of heavy lifting to the 3rd truly new act. It does deliver on the new which is nice, as we finally get a chance to see actual new levels and locations, some new enemies and unfortunately not a whole lot else. Half the new enemies consist of nothing more than armoured variants of existing enemies which just makes them take longer to kill without adding any real tactical difference to the gameplay. And while the new maps and locations are nice to look at, as combat arenas they are incredibly poorly designed and offer some truly frustrating engagements.

It's not quite worth playing through Chapters 1 and 2 for the content available in Chapter 3.

Like I said, individually these chapters carry with them less expectation, they are small, spin off experiences. When packaged like this it does nothing more than highlight the failings and mediocrity as the simplistic gameplay exhausts itself early and never sufficiently improves upon that across its extended play time.

It might be better in coop, as many things are. But solo, I grew so bored of it until I was annoyed by it. It's not bad, but it's not so great that I would readily recommend it, but it does have the capacity for others to enjoy it more than I did.

An Overview of the Episodes

Episode 1:

Lots of reused levels and assets from Sniper Elite V2, but the music is amazing and it is really fun.

Episode 2:

New enemies introduced that are a bit annoying but still fun and really kick ass boss fight at the end.

Episode 3:

Went WAAAY overboard with Zombies and Boss Fights. New enemies are introduced and they are terrible and ruin the flow of gameplay. Plus a way too hard end boss fight but that's probably cause of default mode.

The game is really great. But Episode 3 went overboard at some points with the amount of zombies, chainsaw enemies and ridiculous overblown Zombie Giant Hitler boss fight. I could not imagine playing this on a higher difficulty than Cadet. I recommend only setting the zombie amount for ONLY 1 PLAYER or else when you get to Episode 3, you're going to get pissed at how hard Level 3 and the Final Boss is. Other than that, it's a great game but I wished they would have incorporated stealth elements which are missing in this game even though it's a Sniper Elite universe game.

A repetitive mess in single player with an incredibly frustrating final boss, Zombie Army Trilogy might be one to skip if you value your time. My biggest issue with ZAT is that everything feels the same level-to-level. Wave after wave of "Nazi" zombies are thrown at you as you guy from point A to B to pushing buttons and...killing more zombies. The game is also devoid of color, everything painted in a drab, dark brown/gray. Nothing is broken here, but nothing is done well. It's slow, repetitive, 6 hours too long...skip it.
