It's a solid kart racer

Good

- the revamped graphics are really nice
- giving the option to customize the karts' stats is an interesting change. Although I just went with vanilla crash kart.
- the skid boosts are done really well. Felt good to link multi boosts
- the stages are well designed, challenging to optimize the routes
- the hub world is nicely designed

Bad

- there's a lot of rubber banding with the AI. Sometimes they straight up go way faster an catch up despite just hitting them with an item few seconds ago.
- Pinstripe was a very annoying boss. Being behind him at any moment was frustrating. Either you have to master the track or you have to wait for a lucky item on the final lap and cheese him

I played for 2 hours and I know I could play some more or even finish it but I feel like I've seen all I needed to see. Maybe playing with friends could change my rating, I don't know. Also, you need you wait quite a lot between races and meanwhile you cannot change the tips of the screen.

A great kart racer that remakes the original experience from Naughty Dog

The new graphics are gorgeous at the cost of a disappointing 30 fps on all platforms. Unfortunately, most developers have moved on to work on COD or other projects, so the game never received a next gen update

Kart controls feel close to the original, with some deviations that may turn off hardcore players. Drifting feels smooth when you adjust to it, and the depth of the driving system leads to a pretty technical racer

The adventure mode is fun offering Grand Prix races, gem collecting missions, and another race where you try to spell CTR. The races and missions offer a good challenge, especially on hard mode where they are pretty tough to complete

The bosses are unique spins on the gameplay offering different obstacles depending on the boss. They are all villains from the original Crash games

Time trials is where the game can get a little too difficult. Some of the developer times are very intense, with the devs using all of the tools available for a strong time

One of the best things about Nitro-Fueled is the wealth of content Beenox added in the years after the release. There are a lot of characters to unlock, about 55 to be exact. There are also lots of karts that you can use. The only issue with this is Activision forcing a monetization system in the game with the Pit Stop

It’s a store where you can buy characters, karts, and skins, as well as other items. The prices for these items are quite inflated, with your best shot at earning coins by doing online races. Online races offer higher coins because of the multipliers you get from them

If you can get access PS Plus, then using the online races makes unlocks a lot easier, but without it getting all the characters is a tedious grind

Nitro Fueled is a very good kart racer and I would have it second behind F-Zero GX. Maybe eventually it will be ported to PC for higher FPS, which is what the game only really needs

This game rules. It's the best kart racer and it's not even a little bit close. It's beginner friendly, has so much to learn and master, so much to unlock, so many cool tracks and so many ways to play on those great tracks. And this is JUST the racing! I've barely touched the battle mode and yet that mode has so much more depth and customization compared to Mario Kart. CTR is a game that needs a sequel ASAP, as the pure passion and work that went into this game shows as it's almost too good to believe. It's Mario Kart, but bigger and better in every way, while being 20 bucks cheaper (50 bucks cheaper if you want MK8DX with the DLC). Simply incredible.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

Pontos positivos:

- Gráficos: São excepcionais os efeitos de luz, coloração bem viva e com aquele aspecto levemente mais fosco nos pilotos bem ao estilo pixar, deixa o jogo incrível;
- História: Ela copia com uma nova cara o original de forma bem acertiva, é uma história simples que serve apenas para dar contexto pois ela nunca foi o foco;
- Fases: As fases do game foram todas remasterizadas ou refeitas primorosamente, também foram incluídas novas fases que são excelentes, todas com curvas de muita velocidade;
- Modos de jogo: Os objetivos do jogo se compõe nos modos: conquistar os troféus vencendo cada corrida, vencer e coletar as letras CTR para conquistar as fichas de cada fase e fazer o modo tempo no qual temos caixas de paralisação de tempo. Além destes modos também tem incluso time trials, corridas de argolas, modo batalha e outros fora do modo campanha;
- Progressão: O jogo te recompensa com Wumpa Coins que é a moeda do jogo, para coletar toda customização do jogo é bem demorado, porém para quem jogou na época de lançamento era mais facil obter;
- Dirigibilidade: Este é o ponto que torna o jogo fantástico com a mecânica de acumular boost. Conforme o jogador faz o drift e solta um mini boost, se feito em sequência, o kart vai acumulando uma reserva de boost e conforme você passa pelo turbo pad que te dá o "fogo azul" que é o boost mais rápido, seu kart atinge uma velocidade incrível e você consegue mante-la através da reserva;
- Customização: É excelente dá para customizar tanto as skins de personagens, quanto os tipos de karts, rodas, pinturas, decalques e adesivos, sendo um deles mais legal que o outro;
- Armas: As armas utilizadas durante a corrida seguem o original e que já são muito bem pensadas, temos: mísseis teleguiados, bombas de boliche, escudo, beckers, caixas de TNT e máscara de invencibilidade;
- DLC's: O conteúdo que eles foram adicionando no jogo, foi ótimo, novas pistas, vários novos personagens e novos outros itens de customização.

Pontos negativos:

- Tela de carregamento: As telas de loading são extremamente demoradas, levando 40 segundos para carregar uma única fase;

𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 is one of the best Kart racing games ever released, only beaten by Mario Kart 8.

Firstly the gameplay is incredible, a drift system that is both easy to understand and takes skill to master while also being easy enough that anyone could use it. secondly the actual driving of the game feels fluid, fast and the combat improves it just as much aswell.

When this game was on PSone, it was one of the best reasons to purchase a Multi-tap (four controller port adapter) so that you could play with your friends non-stop just because of how great and addicting the original release was. if you were to play the original version today, besides graphics you can still tell that the only competition it's ever had would be Mario Kart 8 and that is the best game in the series, although not as good as it, it's still pretty close!

The remake has fantastic graphics, a whole new game worth of new tracks added, alot of bonus content, customisation and plays the same as the original if not better.

The only thing holding this game down from a perfect 10/10 is a controversy that occured during the lead up and launch of the game. The game was given to alot of reviewers and influencers as they sang the praises of the game for being a 10/10 remake that even if it were not a remake would be one of the best games ever released, however they misled the reviewers and influencers that there would be no microtransactions, roughly about two weeks after the launch of the game, it was added.

Microtransactions in a childrens Kart game is a really, really bad look considering most games that have them are at the very least for teenagers and above.

I found this new version very on point! I finished this game in 2019 and I still play it to these day. I had plenty of fun mastering my drift mechanic's for completing the 100%. In term of graphic and gameplay everything was on point in my opinion. I looked some of the speedrun that people made on youtube where's the creator comment on the video, all the team seems very passionate and proud by what they've made. Only downside is the loading situation i have to deal with on Nintendo Switch but regardless of that, I enjoyed this game pretty much! Crash racing 1 / Mariokart 0

Crash Team Racing is the best kart racer I've ever played. The adventure mode alone is good for hours of quality content that consistently ramps up the challenge. Add that together with a phenomenal Time Trial mode that will require you to master all of the game's dozens of tracks, a massive roster of characters spanning the history of the Crash Bandicoot franchise, online multiplayer, a huge arena mode, and the greatest mechanics in the history of kart racing, and you have yourself a beautifully crafted game filled to the brim with quality content that will keep you coming back for months if not years.

Classic and a incredible remaster work. The controls are just so good! You'll probably get tired of getting beaten by your opponents when they just combo your ass with powers but it's all worth it. (amazing how the drifting here works better than NFS payback for example).

This game is easy to pick up and play, but mastering it is another story. This game's difficulty curve is extremely steep and requires lots and lots of practice. Thankfully, compared to the platform games, getting good at this game feels like it takes real effort and like you're genuinely improving, and it makes beating it all the more rewarding and satisfying.

Oh, yeah, I guess the microtransactions are kinda lame. I don't like how they were added but compared to other games of this sort it doesn't feel nearly as bad in regards to "pay-to-win" and grinding for coins the old-fashioned way isn't nearly as bad as other games.

Adventure mode is proving you are fast enough to take on the villain in the game Oxide. Plus in the Adventure mode there are challenges to complete as well as normal races. Adventure mode is fun. There is local arcade you can play single races to cup races and other challenges. Online mode is not that great. In a play session you will spend most of your time waiting on a race up to five minutes sometimes then actually racing since you can only do one race at a time. But once in the race the connection is fine and it works. Also races you compete in will result in getting Wumpa coins in which you can do to buy more characters and customize them and your carts. But the key thing in this game is gameplay. And gameplay is very well done once you get a handle on the drifting. One of the best cart racers of all time.

Very solid and challenging Kart racing game with a great variety of well designed race tracks. Also a lot of playable characters to choose from.

Sadly the game has Microtransactions, which were added a month after the game's release and to unlock everything you need to spend Wumpa Coins. Grinding them takes an insane amount of time. I'm not a fan of that business model and this made the game less enjoyable.

Nostalgia is my reason for getting Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. The first Crash Team Racing game was simply one of the best racing games during my childhood. Nitro-Fueled is no exception. The mix of game modes, challenging gameplay, and online mode are what defined the Crash Team Racing formula. Compared to the Mario Kart series, it emphasizes more on skill and accuracy.

So, why 7/10? Microtransactions and unlocks are simply hard to obtain. If you plan on spending money on this game, perhaps you may have an easier time. However, I'm not a fan of this business model. I may eventually return to this game just to finish the story mode. At this moment, I rather play some Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with my friends.

I was skeptical when it was announced that Beenox was making it bc of their previous Spider-Man games but they really redeemed themselves in my eyes with this amazing remake. Kudos to them, Vicarious Visions, and most importantly Naughty Dog for making the original game.
